What we assist with

By distribution we mean legal assistance connected with the purchase and sale of goods and services from the producer, through the individual sales channels to the end user. We assist a range of players in drafting various agreements such as franchise agreements, (exclusive) dealer agreements, agency agreements and licence agreements, production agreements, terms of sale and delivery and so on. We also advise on the choice of distribution model and on organising the business. We further advise on competition law topics in the field of distribution, as well as on intellectual property, choice of law, sale of goods, consumer sales, marketing legislation and so on. Our lawyers offer complete and highly competent advice in the field, and also assist in disputes. Our lawyers also have the commercial understanding this field requires. We assist both Norwegian and foreign players.

Our lawyers have considerable experience in the field, in retail, the restaurant industry and the service sector. Several have also earned national and international recognition for their work in the field. Henrik Renner Fredriksen is highly ranked in the retail category of the Finansavisen annual law firm survey, and has published, or will in the near future publish, a book on agency law.

Distribution is distinctly international, and we therefore also place considerable weight on international experience and an international network. Fredriksen is a member of the International Distribution Institute (IDI) and of the international network Legalmondo. International competence and network are essential to be able to give our clients complete assistance.
